“The Planets” Concert

Next week the Beaverton Symphony Orchestra (http://beavertonsymphony.org/) will do 2 performances of Gustav Holst’s “The Planets”.  I haven’t been to one of their concerts recently, but in the past it has always been a great orchestra, and I have no doubt that this one will live up to the reputation.

And if you’re more of a visual person, they have put together an excellent video of images and animations from NASA, which will be projected during the concert.  This part of it I have seen, and know you will enjoy.

You can also see some of my astro-photography in the lobby.  I’ll be showing both conventional prints and backlit film prints.  They are not images of the planets, but deep-space objects.

The concerts are Friday, March 11 at 7:30PM and Sunday March 13 at 3PM.  The location is Village Baptist Church
330 SW Murray Blvd, Beaverton OR

About Greg Marshall

I am a retired electronics engineer and after a few months of enjoying my leisure I began to miss doing product development. My astronomy hobby always needed new solutions to unique problems, so I decided that whenever I came up with a good solution I would try to make it available to others.
