One More Time!

Yesterday’s event at Prairie High School was fantastic.  It was my first time at this Holiday Bazaar and although I knew it would be busy, I wasn’t prepared for the onslaught of shoppers.  Not that my booth was the destination for many shoppers, but I was located next to what must have been the most popular vendor there.  When the doors opened at 9AM there was a long line of people waiting to enter and it seemed that half of them headed straight to my neighbor’s booth!  The area was filled with shoppers for hours.

I’m sure that the popularity of the neighboring booth brought people to my booth that would not have noticed it otherwise, but there was also a downside in that at times there were so many people around that it kept others from coming to see my pieces.  And I had to rearrange my table on the fly to avoid having things knocked to the floor by the pressing crowd.  But in the end I set a new record for sales at a bazaar, slightly topping the results from Canby Middle School a few weeks ago.

Next Saturday, December 3rd, will be the last holiday bazaar of the season for me.  I’ll be at Hockinson High School in Brush Prairie from 9AM to 4PM.  I was a vendor at this bazaar last year.  It was not as crazy as Prairie High, but large enough to have a great selection of crafts in a very pleasant atmosphere.  I hope you can join me there – I’m sure you’ll enjoy it!
